      Having switched from the a6000 and a6300, I would say that the a6100 is a superior camera in terms of photo, video, ISO, and much superior in focusing speed. With the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 or Tamron 17-70mm 2.8, it is an excellent choice for a travel camera and more. I am quite satisfied with the camera; the only thing I would like is a larger viewfinder.

      Positives:
      - Focusing speed
      - Small and sturdy body
      - Good photo quality up to 3200 ISO
      - Excellent 4K video, 1080 at 120fps
      - Wide range of lenses

      Negatives:
      - No stabilization in the body
      - Not water-resistant
      - Low-resolution viewfinder and a bit small in size (compared to a6600)
      - Lack of picture profiles (S-Log2, S-Log3, HLG) in video for more editing.
      - Relatively short battery life, especially when using 4K video, it drains quite quickly (at least two more are needed)

      If you exclude the picture profiles, it has nothing to envy from much more expensive cameras + the fact that it can shoot continuously for 30 minutes and in one file!! You should buy a regular camcorder.

      Certainly better than the 6000, but for this money, 700 euros plus a good lens for 400 euros, a total of 1100, you can definitely find something better. In my opinion, the price should be at most 550 euros. But Sony still sells it for 569, the 6000 which should have been discontinued or lowered to 400 euros. But it seems that the fever for mirrorless cameras is still going strong
