• Focus on EDM: We prioritize Electronic Dance Music that has topped the charts. Rich polyphonic sounds filled with effects that fill the space, crystal-clear synth leads, and dynamic, "full" drum kits that get you moving.

• Ethnic elements & Cinematic FX: Traditional instruments such as steel pan, kalimba, and kokyu have been added, along with Hollywood-style cinematic effects, which are widely used in movie trailers and advertisements.

The classic, timeless sounds (bread-and-butter) are always a priority for Korg. The KROME EX is equipped with sounds that stand the test of time, such as acoustic and electric pianos, as well as drums essential for any workstation.

The pianos of the KROME EX are brand new and recorded under the supervision of Seigen Ono, a top expert in DSD recording and mastering. Building upon the success of the famous "German D Grand" from the original KROME, they offer a crystal-clear, expanded sound. Additionally, an upright piano has been added, making it ideal for pop and modern productions.

The KROME features three types of electric pianos, with 8 velocity levels for an incredibly responsive playing experience. It uses so much PCM memory that a single type of electric piano contains more sampling data than the entire sound memory of a typical PCM synthesizer! Additionally, vintage amplifiers, cabinets, and classic effects that define this timeless sound have been meticulously modeled.

• The KROME EX features a vast collection of over 2,500 drum samples that power 48 ready-made kits. Notably, the “Jazz Ambience Drums” offers incredible realism. You can adjust the mix between the direct sound (close microphone on the drum or snare) and the room sound (ambient microphone), creating the exact character you desire.

• Realistic Grooves with Drum Track:

  With the press of a button, you activate realistic rhythms played by professional drummers. In addition to the 600+ preset patterns inherited from the top-of-the-line KRONOS, there is plenty of space to save your own. Use them as a guide for timing while practicing, in the sequencer, or live during your performances.

In addition to pianos and drums, the KROME EX features a vast array of sounds for every musical style. Bring your creativity to life by choosing from 896 Programs and 512 Combinations (sound combinations). Each one has been designed by professional musicians from Wall Street and studios to sit perfectly in the mix, whether it's a clean backing track or a dominant solo. Of course, you can tweak everything and save your own custom patches.

In Combination mode and Sequencer mode, you can run two arpeggiators simultaneously. Besides classic patterns, they can create riffs for guitar or bass, drum patterns, or even moving pads and synth effects that add depth to your sound design.

• Models 61 and 73 keys: They feature a semi-weighted keyboard with excellent response, ideal for any style — from fast synths and leads to dynamic organ solos.

• 88-key model: Equipped with the weighted keyboard NH (Natural Weighted Hammer Action) by KORG. It ensures that every subtle performance detail and dynamic of your hand is reproduced with absolute accuracy, providing the feel of a real piano.

You can connect the KROME EX to your computer via USB for easy MIDI data transfer, as well as use a standard SD card to manage and store all your files.
