The history of the long-standing telepathic work of the Tibetan with Alice A. Bailey is revealed in her Endless Autobiography, published in 1951. It includes the circumstances of her first contact with him in the physical realm, which took place in California in November 1919.
A 30-year project was devised. When this was realized, within 30 days from the end of this period, Alice A. Bailey gained her freedom from the constraints of the physical vehicle. The Autobiography also includes some statements from the Tibetan regarding his work and some information about the reasons for which it was attempted.
In the early stages, the work involved great attention to the conditions of the physical realm that could best assist in the success of the telepathic process. However, over the last few years, the technique was perfected to such an extent, and the etheric mechanism of A.A. Bailey was harmonized and skillfully adapted, that the entire process became practically effortless, and the reality and practical utility of telepathic interaction manifested to a unique degree.
The spiritual truths examined often entailed the expression of abstract ideas and completely unknown concepts for spiritual realities from the lower concrete mind (often with the insurmountable limitations of the English language). This inevitable limitation of truth has often been noted by readers of books written in this way, but it is very often overlooked.
Its continual reminder will be, for the coming years, one of the main factors that will prevent the crystallization of the teaching, which would create yet another dogmatic schismatic cult. The "Treatise on Cosmic Fire," first published in 1925, was the third book written jointly and carries the inherent testimony that it will remain the chief and most far-reaching part of the thirty-year teaching, despite the depth and usefulness of the volumes published in the series titled "A Treatise on the Seven Rays" or any other of the books.
In the "Treatise on Cosmic Fire," the Tibetan provided what H.P. Blavatsky prophesied would be given to us, namely, the psychological key to cosmic Creation. H.P. Blavatsky stated that in the 20th century, a disciple would come who would provide the psychological key for her monumental work, "The Secret Doctrine," the treatise that the Tibetan elaborated with her and which Alice A. Bailey worked on with full recognition of her debt to this succession.
