This book is the result of extensive personal research on scales, chords, and their combinations, as used in jazz improvisation and composition, as well as other contemporary musical genres. It takes into account the relevant rich bibliography that has made jazz a specific system of knowledge, but at the same time it seeks to expand beyond that. Thus, with specific methods, techniques, and personal examples of work, it suggests ways and shows paths that the student/musician can follow in order to construct their own musical language and chart their -long-awaited- personal creative journey.
