This book is a repertoire proposal for the flute, featuring songs and tunes from various regions of Greece, as well as world music, beautiful melodies, and musical expressions of the soul of every people.

The playing techniques of the flute proposed in the book, such as articulation, melodic variations, glissando, and the production of non-Equal Temperament intervals, refer to the techniques of folk flute players.

Additionally, the suggested fingerings for various "passages" and the analyses of ornaments guide the reader by providing solutions to technical problems.

The anthology of melodies "The Art of the Flute" is aimed at music school students, school children, music teachers, professional musicians, and any music lover, with the hope that it will prove to be a useful tool for approaching both our traditional Music and the folk Music of other nations.
