Place the blade of the knife, applying some pressure, between the rods. For optimal use, do not trap the knife at the base of the rods. You can repeat the process several times. Hold the sharpener ONLY by the handles; otherwise, you may injure yourself. Clean it with steam or a sterilizing device. Do not disassemble it for cleaning as this may damage its water resistance.
