A first look.
Purchased on 9/2/2024 at the price of €169.85. I should point out that I chose this particular brand and model to match the keyboard and mouse from the same company.
Taking the headphones in your hands, you can tell they are of good quality. In the box, there is a type-c/USB-A connection cable, a cable with jacks on both ends, a USB-A wireless dongle, the detachable microphone, and of course the necessary manuals.
Now, regarding the connection, Windows 11 recognized them immediately, either wirelessly or wired.
The first impression upon connection was very disappointing, to the point of considering a return. However, after entering the iCUE software (which you absolutely must have, otherwise you can do almost nothing), doing all the updates (and after restarting both the software and the OS), things somewhat improve. Especially when you play with the equalizer and adjust it to your liking. Through iCUE you can enable 7.1, its RGB, and various other useful features.
I consider its wireless range very short. The good thing is that it makes a sound when the connection is lost and it reconnects automatically.
A positive is that with the charging cable you can listen while they charge.
A negative is that the mouse sometimes lags/freezes when the headphones are wireless.
There is also a free Nvidia service called broadcast.
The headband on top is somewhat noticeable after a few hours, not good.
As for the microphone, I still have no opinion since I haven’t had the chance to try it. However, it goes in with some difficulty and if you plan to attach/remove it frequently, damage can easily occur (I’m not a fan of the detachable microphone).
To sum up. Coming from the Razer Kraken v2 with a built-in sound card and 7.1, I think the sound of these headphones is not as expected. When you turn up the music very loud, it starts to get noisy. We’re talking about a price difference of +€50 at today’s best prices and I expected much more. Also, I should note that with the Razer, I haven’t installed any software and of course didn’t bother with the equalizer. With Razer, the software is optional, while with Corsair it’s mandatory, and I still haven’t seen the quality that would make a difference (at least in music so far). That says something.
In gaming, things are somewhat better, but I still don’t have much experience.
The 4 stars may be too much. I would have given 3, but since it’s the first day, I decided not to be unfair with something I haven’t learned well yet.

I re-evaluated and dropped from 4 stars to 3. I tried the equalizer but saw no significant improvement. The more I increase the volume in music, the noisier it gets.
After several hours of use, I noticed a few more things:
- When I use them while charging, the plug on the headphone keeps hitting my shoulder.
- The headband on top of the head is much more uncomfortable than the Razer after a while of use.
- I still believe they are not good for music. For gaming on PC, they are quite good.
- When music is playing (mp3, various genres) and there is a gap, I hear a hissing sound.
I regret the purchase I made.

The headphones really took off when: having the iCUE program installed and through artificial intelligence, I provide the AI with information—brand and model of headphones, the iCUE version I have—and ask it to give me equalizer settings for the type of music I want. It gives me detailed settings and a description of what each setting does. Try it and you won't be disappointed (unless you have done a dissertation and managed it on your own). It is suitable for those who don't have it or are too bored to look for it themselves.

From a sound perspective, these are the worst headphones I've ever had. They are even worse than 20-dollar headphones. The bass is almost non-existent. After applying a bass boost in ICUE, it sounds like there is some bass in the background. The treble is like a piercing sound in your ears. So, forget about the bass, but we have plenty of treble! So much treble that it's unbearable.

The quality of the materials is very good, and the microphone is really good. That's it. After a few hours of use, they cause headaches that come from the point of contact with the head, as the padding is not soft at all and the headband doesn't have the right curve, resulting in a smaller point of contact with the head than it should be, and the weight is not distributed evenly.

I bought these headphones (which I am returning by canceling the contract) based on many positive reviews on YouTube and here. Finally, there was a reason why I haven't seen anyone wearing them anywhere else except in review videos!

They are probably expensive because of the materials, I imagine. If I were paid to wear them, I would find a way to make modifications/replacements to their speakers and fix the padding of the headband, as well as adjust the curve. Then, yes, I would use them!

They are the only headphones with a 96Khz sample rate (for USB use) and 7.1 true surround (wired or wireless for up to 20 hours of continuous operation with RGB off and 50% volume), not virtual like all the gaming headsets on the market, as they have 7 speakers and 1 woofer, as you will see from the Windows sound manager testing as soon as you connect them. I suppose they are not as comfortable for those with a large head and ears. However, as for me, with a normal head and close-fitting ears, I have absolutely no issues with this product, as the sound is the best I have heard in a gaming headset. Lastly, it has optimizations through Corsair's iCUE software, which truly has it all, including a Graphical Equalizer that allows you to adjust all the driver frequencies as much as you want (yes, even the bass, which can become excessively annoying if turned up to the maximum), and it comes with a 2-year gold warranty. The material is gunmetal and matte plastic glass on the sides, which makes them noticeably lighter than the SE edition. On one hand, they are heavier, but on the other hand, they are more durable than other gaming headsets. Oh, and the microphone of this version is smaller in size compared to the SE, but it is also clearer and better than the SE, which ends up being quite blurry in the end. Check out some YouTube reviews if you don't believe me, and as you will understand from the first contact, the noise cancellation is better than Razer's, as when you put them on, you can't hear anything from the outside.

I bought them for 140 euros when they first came out and a store honored them and put them on sale, as it was shown on the corsair website.

(+) Positive
- Battery lasts 14 hours with LED, around 18-19 hours without.
- The build quality was the first reason that made me consider them, and I was not disappointed. They are made of aluminum, except for the earcups. They sit on the neck and can rotate left and right.
- Easy switch from stereo to 7.1 through the corsair icue program, with some settings if you want to customize.
- Decent microphone.
- Comfortable, as long as you don't have very large ears and head.
- The bass is more suitable for music than games, in my opinion.

(-) Negative
- Some minor issues with icue, but they were resolved with the second installation.
- The ear cushions could use a bit more depth for some people.
- I would prefer to see the battery percentage instead of indicators like very low, medium, high, full, etc.
- I would prefer the microphone to be hidden instead of being detachable when not needed.

(*) For those interested in buying, they should mainly consider if they will be comfortable for them. Some people experience discomfort on the head or ears. For someone with a small or medium-sized head like me, I think they will be okay.

-update 7/8/2021
After one and a half years, one side where they rotate became so loose that they no longer fit well on the head.
I contacted the company, sent them photos, and they immediately agreed to send me new ones if I returned the defective ones. They covered all the expenses with DHL. The whole process took 2 weeks to receive the replacements. Additionally, they gave me an extra year of warranty.
I can say I'm satisfied with the support, they didn't give me any trouble.

As the owner of several different headphones, I believe that while these are the most expensive ones out of the bunch, they are worth their money.

Perhaps the most well-built headphones I have ever held in my hands, with aluminum construction on the earcups and a very premium feel. You can tell as soon as you touch them that they are a tool that won't easily break.

The battery life is very good, lasting up to 15 hours without a problem, and the cable is long enough (2m) so that it doesn't make it difficult to charge them while wearing them.

The microphone is amazing for wireless. All the wireless headphones I've had had a very bad microphone, as if you were speaking from a well. This one sounds very good, maybe even suitable for streaming.

I would prefer the earcups to be a bit deeper, so that the entire ear fits inside, and if it doesn't touch the drivers, which can be somewhat annoying after prolonged use. I'm not saying they are tiring, on the contrary, due to my work being on the computer, I wear them daily for 10-12 hours, and they don't cause me much pain or discomfort, but they could definitely be more comfortable.

The microphone is detachable, which you can do to wear them outside on the bus with your phone, since the microphone is not needed there.

You will need to download the iCUE from the Corsair website. And you may need to do a firmware update to detect it. I had this problem at the beginning. I have the stock settings on iCUE, but I would recommend turning off the RGB, as it drains the battery for no reason, and you can't even see it unlike the mouse or keyboard. There is also a notification bot that reports anything that happens (sound muted, charging battery, etc). I don't know if this is a software problem, but it's better to disable it by going to the settings, as it's just annoying after use.

I don't listen to a lot of music, and I don't hear a big difference between headphones in general, so I can't say if they are good or not in terms of music. They satisfy me. I didn't find any difference in sound between these, the Logitech G933, or the HyperX Cloud Flight. Although out of the three, these have by far the best microphone, the best software, and the best battery life. The only thing they lack is comfort, in which case Logitech is ahead in my opinion.

UPDATE (8/13/2020): The ear cushions are attached to the headphones with three plastic clips that lock with a 30-degree rotation. In my case, they broke. I don't know if it's my fault or if the plastic quality was not good, but the ear cushions started coming off very easily, and it became annoying. I contacted Corsair, and they sent me new ear cushions for free, without even needing to send them the headphones, photos of the problem, or even the serial number. As soon as I told them I had a problem, they asked for my address and details to start the shipment, without any proof that I am the owner of the headphones. Now they are like new. Everything else works perfectly.

I did not expect to be so satisfied. Most headsets I had until now had some flaw (we always talk about similar ones in terms of price or at least over 90 euros). Very good sound, personally the bass covers me, easy wireless operation and switch to wired and vice versa. Average microphone but normal for a headset, if you have a separate microphone it is useless, if not it covers you for all issues and also has sound return or otherwise sidetone. In use so far I have worked for 14 hours so I don't know if the 20-hour claim is true, but the Type-C cable is long and convenient for wired use. The program is pleasant with the only downside being the battery monitoring which is hidden in a tab.

For anyone considering it, yes it is an expensive headset but it is the best I have seen in wireless today, even though the Logitech ones I had tried were also good. If you have the budget, go for it, you won't regret your money.

*In the 3 years, the leather on the ear cushions has started to wear out, but within reasonable limits. I have not encountered any other issues with performance or battery
