The story of this "double madness" must be written - this madness that makes people use, to communicate and recognize each other, the unpitying language of non-madness, with the right given to them by dominant logic to confine their neighbor; we must rediscover the moment of this conspiracy, before it is definitively established in the realm of truth, before it is rekindled by the zeal of reaction.

We must try, searching within history, to encounter the zero degree of the history of madness, the moment when it is still an undifferentiated experience, an experience where the separation of madness and logic has not yet managed to divide.
