In Germany, I tried them, the purple ones with blackcurrant and without sugar, and I found them very good because they stick somehow in the mouth and they are very different compared to the classic ones we had in Greece. I highly recommend them. I found them at my pharmacist and stocked up (in October). They are a bit expensive, but when a simple syrup like Prospan costs 5 euros... how much should these cost.
