My name is Galileo Galilei, and about 500 years ago I was an astronomer, mathematician, physicist, and philosopher. Some call me the Father of Modern Science because my work contributed to the evolution of scientific thought.

With my telescope, I observed the universe, studied it, and, with the help of mathematical operations, proved my theories. Although they were labeled heretical during the Middle Ages, I insisted... "And yet it moves!" referring to the rotation of the Earth around the Sun.
