Watching the evolution of Educational Science in Greece during the last two decades of the 20th century, I have observed a rapid development that is due to the establishment of new Pedagogical Departments, in which distinguished young scientists were elected as members of the Faculty, who engage in research and write relevant works on the phenomena of Pedagogy and Educational Science. With the overall scientific and authorial work of educators and didacticians, a Greek pedagogical and educational science began to take shape.
With the establishment of the ASEP exams for prospective educators, there is a need for the pedagogical and didactic competence of the candidates, a competence that is modern and commensurate with the requirements of modern pedagogy and didactics that meet the needs of the times.
