Description

Description

The November Revolution confirmed that when it comes to power, there are no half-measures or compromises in the fundamental question of every revolution. To secure the vital interests of the workers, it is necessary to completely weaken imperialism, both economically and politically, and establish a proletarian state authority [...]. Particularly obstructive to the development of the revolution was the fact that the majority of workers who, disgusted and angry, turned their backs on the right-wing social democracy, joined the AKG and came under the influence of centrists who, in rhetoric, distanced themselves from opportunism, but in reality, with their loud radicalism, concealed and covered up the policies of Empter - Saidenman.

This book reflects a class-based scientific perspective and a systematic presentation of facts, evidence, and proofs.

The author of the book, Wolfgang Ruge, was an active communist from his youth. Fleeing from the Nazis, he took refuge in the USSR, participated in socialist construction, and studied History in Moscow and Sverdlov. After returning from the USSR to the German Democratic Republic (GDR) in 1956, he worked at the Central Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR. He authored numerous books on political and diplomatic history, including university textbooks.
