Biologos turmeric essential oil is extracted from the root of the Curcuma longa plant by steam distillation. It has a spicy, dry and sweet aroma and comes from India.

Its composition includes 50–60% ar-turmerone, 12–15% α-turmerone and 15–17% β-turmerone. It blends well with ylang-ylang, cedarwood and ginger essential oils.
