This book is intended for everyone. It contains the analysis of over 120 Chinese herbs as well as 100 recipes for Chinese herbal medicine.
It is essential for anyone involved with Chinese Medicine in any way (Acupuncture, Nutrition, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Feng Shui, etc.), as it will help them deepen their understanding of the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It can also be useful for anyone interested in herbs, whether Greek or others.
I hope that through this book, Chinese herbal medicine will find the place it truly deserves in our country.
I learned about Chinese herbs from four teachers. The first was the Chinese professor Chong Qianqwei. The second was the American Ted Kaptchuk, whom I studied with for two years at the Anglodutch Institute of Oriental Medicine in the Netherlands. The third was the German Barbara Kirchbaum. The fourth was Professor Liu Gong Wang. I believe that all four, each from their own perspective, contributed to the formation of this book.
The structure of the book as an idea came from Dan Beusky's Materia Medica. My patients have also been my teachers, as they taught me patience and respect for those who are suffering. However, I consider nature and the plants it has produced as the ultimate teacher, as one can wonderfully learn all the healing properties of herbs through contact with them.
