After 5 months of use, I am completely satisfied. The smell goes away after 7-10 days of operation, which is absolutely normal for a new device that heats up. At first, I was concerned that it was getting warm compared to another APC model I had, but this particular device is designed to operate that way and now I don't pay attention to it anymore - I've forgotten about it.

I use it for a modem, fiber optic device, and switch.
After 18 months, it was time to replace the battery.
All you will need is a Phillips screwdriver and a 12v-9A battery. In 10 minutes it's ready and with a cost of less than €20 you have a new UPS.
* The original battery was swollen, probably because the UPS was placed in a small storage room inside the house but without ventilation, so I will change its location so it doesn't get so hot.
The smells that some users mentioned only last for a little while during the first use, and the noise is indeed a bit loud when there is a power outage. It doesn't bother me because I mainly use it to protect the devices and after a while I turn them off, so I can also turn off the UPS. With its sound, I immediately realize there is a power outage and I time how long it lasts so I can change the battery before it completely fails.

I have a laptop on which there are external USB devices as well as one more device. In 3.5 years, it needed a battery replacement, which is very easy to do with 6 screws and a cost of 15 euros. During power outages, UPS devices are not meant for you to continue working but to give you enough time to safely shut down your device, and I had plenty of time.

Once I needed it during a power outage at the office and the computer shut down immediately. Connected to it, a regular office computer and monitor.

I bought it to connect a mini server (65 watt, 24/7) and a router. I wanted something compact, and that's why I chose it. So far, everything is fine; I even tested it by unplugging it to see if it would keep them alive, and it made a discreet beep sound twice and then stopped, nothing like the comments that say it will drive you crazy. Of course, no device turned off while it was unplugged. I will monitor it over time and will get back to you.

Also, the smell is a bit strong at first, but it completely goes away in a week.

I think it's fair for the money. I have 2, one for the Internet and one for TV, gaming console, and home theatre. There was a power outage yesterday and it kept all the devices on until I turned them off. For the money it has, I believe it's fair.

I installed it 1.5 years ago, to have it for emergencies. I needed it once and it turned off in 5 minutes! I had 4 cameras connected to it, a router with 5 mesh satellites, a total of 10 devices with a consumption of 5 watts. With a consumption of 50 watts, it was supposed to last... 2 days! Completely useless. Not to mention the deafening noise of the alarm when the power goes out and it switches to battery mode! Never again.

It lasted 2.5 years, just long enough to go out of warranty. After speaking with customer service, we concluded that replacing the battery (around 90€) doesn't make sense. Even the technician agreed that the product is garbage (exact conversation translation). Of course, there was no positive support attitude "since it's out of warranty, even for a few months". Never again APC, obviously.

It lasted 2 years. Yes the sound is a problem. I changed batteries in a no-brand repair shop. It will do the job. i have mostly APCs various models. All of them die in 1-2 years.

Very long switching time from power to battery... In a momentary power outage while the TV was turned on normally, it didn't "manage" to provide power to the Series X, resulting in the console shutting down. This applies to the 1000va 600 watt model for 2 devices with a maximum load of 350 watts

It has not given me any issues, I have had it for over 3 years. I have a DVR, PC, network switch, and router on it, as well as power supplies for the cameras. I tested it with the cameras and network with my PC turned off, and it lasted for about 2 hours. The notification is loud enough to inform you if the power goes out and how much battery is left. During the power outages that occurred last year with the snow in Attica, it lasted comfortably for 2 days for me, while I was watching "Wild Bees" on my laptop and charging my phones. I highly recommend it again.

22/9/23: After 4 years of use, the battery gave out. I found the specific battery for 68 euros during this period. It's a dog, it doesn't notice anything. Compared to cheaper brands, the battery lasted much longer, so I will buy the same battery.

When it breaks, it will DRIVE YOU CRAZY!!!!! It doesn't get lower or stop. ONLY SOLUTION is if you hold it in your hands, unscrew it (if the warranty doesn't explode on you) and either stuff the speaker inside to reduce the piercing sound or carefully cut it off so it doesn't make any noise at all

Honest purchase... it does its job correctly and hasn't caused me any concerns in any area. It serves especially well when there is limited space and doesn't make any noise.

I haven't needed to replace the battery yet, but I guess when I have to, it won't be difficult (with some help from YouTube, everything opens).

Considering it's an APC, I consider it value for money for a price up to 100€, beyond that there are other good options in the same category of features and from reputable companies.

I bought the product trusting the name, but in the end, I got burned. It heats up and smells strongly throughout the house (100sqm). Thinking that there might be a problem, I returned it and they gave me another one just like it. The problem continued with the new one too! I contacted Schneider Electric and they told me that they are aware of the problem and the smell will stop in the next few weeks!! I asked what smell it is because it seems like a burning transformer... but I didn't get an answer. I then asked why it's not stated on the box that "there is a strong smell, but don't worry!" So, stay away from APC

I had a modem and DVR on top. The battery broke in two years and there is no way to replace it. The spare part exists but can only be changed at the dealership. But the dealership in Greece is "non-existent"...

Very good UPS and completely silent, I have it in the living room and you can't hear anything at all. The only negative (although I didn't need it) is that it doesn't have a USB port to connect it to a computer and send notifications.

Nice machine, quality, installed on the wall (due to the sockets it has) supports Modem, NAS, Switch, Poe switch!
