I am a thorn exporter, and all my work is described as follows: You have a thorn in your foot, I bring a needle (which, undoubtedly, also looks like a thorn) and I try with it to remove the thorn that is hurting your foot. The first thorn, the one that hurts, and the second, which is trying to remove the first, look alike; they are both thorns. When, with the help of the second, we remove the first, we must throw both away.

This is the story of a fictional journey from ignorance, where we all start, towards wisdom, which we never reach. Simriti -as the main character is named- accepts the challenge and embarks, accompanied by Jorge Bucay, on the dangerous exploration of her soul and mind.
