This book was written to enrich the knowledge of students in the Agricultural Economics Department and students in Economics Departments regarding the use of quantitative analysis methods as a tool for solving economic problems.
The book examines the application of Matrix Algebra, differential and integral calculus to issues in economic theory, such as solving models in the form of linear equations, optimization problems with and without constraints, calculations of total magnitudes from marginal values and vice versa, the study of time-dependent production and consumption functions, present value calculations of perpetual flows, etc.
A limited analysis of the theory is provided, followed by what the authors consider to be the most important economic applications, specific examples, and exercises for solution.
The requirements of the book are limited to basic knowledge of mathematics. The writing of the book required several years of teaching and significant hours of study to compile applications on issues of economic theory.
