This work presents the theoretical foundations of the interdependencies of the overall economy, while focusing on the thought of the economic cycle and the impacts of individual measures on it and, consequently, on employment.
This book was written for students of economics as an introduction to macroeconomics, starting from the definitions and methods of macroeconomic theory to the analysis of the parameters of material production, public expenditure, consumption and investment, monetary policy, and the labor market.
Starting from this target group, the following characteristics were considered necessary: The language used remained simple; in many places, a few repetitions were used so that students could familiarize themselves with the terminology of the field; mathematical models and corresponding functions are presented extensively and, to the extent possible, are also explained verbally, because mathematics can allow for an accurate and simultaneously simplified presentation of many economic interconnections, but for many students, it still represents a 'foreign language.' In places where feasible, linear functions were primarily used for this reason.
This book is suitable for students of economics as well as for those interested in the specific subject matter.
