The Luxman SQ-N150 is a 10+10W tube amplifier, designed in a compact A4 size, offering great flexibility in its placement. The Luxman SQ-N150 is part of the NeoClassico II series and is the latest model inheriting the tradition of exceptionally warm and clear music reproduction associated with Luxman.
Music Reproduction
When the audio industry transitioned to transistor amplifiers in the 1960s, Luxman stood out by recognizing the remarkable sound of vacuum tubes, which it continues to use in many of its components. The sound reproduction is extremely detailed and spacious thanks to the excellent linearity of Luxman's P-K phase inversion circuit.
Preamplifier
Luxman offers three line inputs and a phono stage that supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. The RCA terminals are gold-plated and spaced at 18mm to support high-quality cables. To minimize crosstalk between the left and right channels, the same input selector IC as in the flagship C-900u amplifier is used.
- Automatic bias adjustment for the output tubes.
- Built-in phono stage for LP playback.
- You simply install the EL84 tubes.
Design
The 5mm thick aluminum case has a modest "A4" footprint and is finished with a white coating. The analog level meters are illuminated by orange LEDs, highlighting the vacuum tubes.
