Everything you need to know to play
In this game, each player starts with an identical deck of basic cards. During your turn, you use the cards from your hand for two purposes: either to move your pawn on the board, or to buy new, more powerful cards from the market. Each hex on the board has a specific cost in symbols (knives for the jungle, paddles for the water, coins for the villages). If you do not have the appropriate card, you cannot proceed.
The strategy lies in managing your deck (deck-building). You must decide when is the right time to stop investing in new partners (such as scientists or cartographers) and when you should focus exclusively on moving towards the finish. The board is modular, which means you can create countless different combinations of maps, changing the difficulty and duration of each game. The winner is the player who manages to cross the finish line at El Dorado first.
