  • It's a good knife for its price. The handle is okay, nothing wow, but it's a very sharp knife, simple and very light

The knife for its price is excellent, quite well balanced and since it is cheap you don't think twice about buying it again if something happens to it, although from what I can see its blade apart from being extremely sharp is also quite durable. Quality-price ratio 10/10

  • It is a pretty good knife, of course perfect for its price, but the wood is not polished and it produces some small splinters especially when washing. However, I am satisfied as long as I use it!

Description & Specifications

The santoku knife by Carl Schmidt Sohn with an 18cm blade length is the Japanese version of the Chef's knife. It is slightly shorter, thinner, and has a flat blade. It is ideal for meat, especially for cutting through bone, fish, and vegetables, and is less suitable for chopping herbs, but it is the best choice for thin vegetable slices. It features a large blade and surface that helps prevent food from sticking during cutting, while its curved edge aids in slicing motion. It is made of stainless steel, a popular material for knives, which is particularly durable and non-corrosive. It is a combination of carbon and iron as a base, with added chromium to repel stains and give the blade a shiny finish.
