The Olympia Electronics BS-820/KIT digital room thermostat controls cooling and heating and consists of a wireless transmitter and receiver that communicate at 869 MHz. The backlit display shows multiple readings, and the temperature can be displayed in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. It supports manual, daily and weekly operation, with up to 20 programs.

The device features frost protection, an adjustable differential, and RF signal strength and low battery indicators. ECO mode turns off the backlight, while the keypad and usage limits can be locked with a PIN.

    The thermostat was recommended to me by the gas boiler installer. It is Greek, has great range and accuracy in temperature readings. I haven't made any adjustments from the menu, because I'm not interested in programming it. The only thing I do is set the temperature with the two buttons. When the boiler starts operating, a red light blinks. As soon as the house reaches the desired temperature we set, the thermostat's light turns off. It's worth mentioning that it's not mandatory to screw it to the wall. I use it as a tabletop device and actually placed it on a cheap phone stand, securing it with a good hook-and-loop fastener.
