While it is extremely beautiful, it is unacceptably (given the price and brand) lightweight and very thin and fragile construction. Specifically:

1. It weighs only 72 grams (as shown in the relevant photo) when a sturdy Sellotape dispenser weighs 300-400 grams, so you can peel off the tape from the cutter with one hand without lifting/pulling the entire base. I expected that such a "bulky" dog would be somewhat solid and have some weight. Unfortunately, it is flimsy. I'm afraid it will easily break if it falls.

2. The "connection" between the plate and the dog is quite sensitive. Similarly, the "prongs" that hold the two sides of the dog are extremely thin and fragile, something that could have been avoided in the design, especially considering that we are talking about a children's base that the child will have to open frequently to change the Sellotape.

3. Additionally, the "bone" on which the cutter is integrated comes out several times from the plate when you try to pull the Sellotape.

4. Finally, it does not have a non-slip bottom to prevent it from slipping when you pull the Sellotape. This, along with the (nonexistent) weight, makes it functionally unacceptable: You need two hands to struggle and cut a piece of Sellotape.

On the positive side, the aesthetics and quality of the cutter are good.

We mitigated the "issue" by gluing the bone with instant glue and filling the dog (where the Sellotape does not touch) and the plate (from below) with clay. In fact, if you use terracotta clay, it looks like the dog's palate! Alternatively, you can paint it! This way, we reached 250 grams. If you also add non-slip adhesive, the situation is somewhat manageable...

I have been very satisfied. My only problem was that it was smaller than it appeared. I highly recommend the site and the product
