Almost a blind buy, almost because when it was first released, I had tried it in a store and I was excited... incense, fresh green notes and a woody finish... I didn't buy it then because I was wearing Kenzo Homme (which they also unfortunately changed)... and I had gone to buy that one.

However, it stayed in my mind, both the feeling and the bottle, I didn't remember the name, I came across it a few days ago and with this price I decided to try it.

Unfortunately, it's not the same... on my skin it gives off a strong synthetic pine... the incense I remember dominating at first... here it's simply non-existent...

After two hours when it "settled"... from afar it leaves a pine scent... up close the synthetic note hits the nose again...

A wintery, serious fragrance, not for flirting, not sexy, but not off-putting—on the contrary, it gives off something serious. Really a full mysterious and dark fragrance... it smells like a forest with cypresses after rain, I would say it reminds you of being at night near a castle. An old church, even a cemetery... it is mainly for winter, too heavy for summer

So for me, it's worth every cent. It gives me a cold, wintry, melancholic feeling. It's for evening hours, or when you want to wear a more "quiet strength." Very good for solitary moments, meditation, walks for coffee, reading, or music. I don't know, it pleasantly surprised me.

Unique scent, not heavy but more suitable for autumn and winter. It definitely smells like wet earth/wood, personally it gives me a somewhat "metallic" note in its fragrance, pleasant though, with a freshness. For the niche scent profile, full vfm.

I would like it to last a bit longer, the strong projection ends at 1 hour and in total on my skin it lasts 3.

It doesn't have anything amazing, mysterious, masculine, and all those hyperbolic things attributed to it in the reviews. If a good cleaning detergent for mopping with a fresh scent is the simple Johnie Walker Red, this is the Johnie Walker Double Black detergent. Nice, slightly successful but fake and excessive. It is exclusively for outdoor use in winter. Due to the price, 4 stars; otherwise, it would be for less.

Notes of vetiver that remind very much of the same-named and much more expensive fragrance from Guerlain. Woody and slightly fruity, with a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. It lasts moderately (1-2 hours) and then leaves a sweet, subtle scent. Its sillage is also moderate at 1-2 meters.

The fragrance is very unique, it is not for blind buying, I have over 100 fragrances in my collection, unfortunately I threw this one away, it smelled very dark, almost like a medicinal preparation, something like Vicks, I would not recommend it for people who are just starting their collection, first smell it.

Possible clone of Ombre Leather by Tom Ford. Very unique, not for everyone. It brings out the leather strongly, but not in an annoying way. At first I didn't like it, but as time goes by it becomes addictive. Not a common scent at all. However, I do not recommend blind buy under any circumstances.

To the girl who buries it under me, not everything is for everyone. This particular fragrance is one of the few niche scents released by a designer house at such an affordable price. It is a olfactory jewel that not everyone can support. And because not everyone can support it, it is good to try it before. Personally, I love it. As for the longevity, try spraying it on clothes.

Is there an affordable and good fragrance? Yes, there is and in my opinion, this is it.
After several disappointments from clones and CK-type fragrances, finally something wonderful.
No flowers, no fruits, no sweetness, just a classic Vetiver-type fragrance... It's definitely not easy for the masses... but that doesn't change the fact that it's wonderful.
Short duration, 2-3 hours, and also low projection... but we can't expect everything at this cost, the quality is enough.

Just a useful, I hope, observation that seems to be only mine: This fragrance has some interesting similarities to Rainforest Pino Silvestre. Not the Original Pino Silvestre but the one with the blue content in a gradation bottle. Scents with completely different ingredients but approaching the idea of a (wet) forest with a similar disposition. Both belong to the green/fresh category, with Encre Noire actually having a somewhat darker character as some said, but without significantly deviating from this category. So, don't expect a heavy and unwearable Oud fragrance, but a fragrance that exudes freshness above all.

Small projection and satisfactory longevity gives the feeling of the scent that has undergone processing.. unfortunately! because it used to be an exceptional fragrance! I expected more... However, I must say that it wears pleasantly and still deserves, if you put enough things in balance.. it smells like a wet forest of cypresses. A purely masculine and sexy fragrance for older ages, for all hours and seasons, if you like green scents, you will love it.

Yes, after 1 year I can say with certainty that it is a men's autumn fragrance of good quality and very affordable. It is not the fragrance that will become your favorite, but you can have it right next to your good expensive perfumes.
