I bought 2 PNY sticks, one 16GB, the other 32GB, and my experience was like night and day.
--Initially, I used the 32GB to copy some files. The process was VERY SLOW (by far the slowest stick I've bought since... let's say... 2010 and onwards!!!). But even worse is that the video files were not copied correctly (*as someone else mentioned in the comments) and some of them showed distortions when I tried to play them back, something I've NEVER encountered with any stick before!!! Naturally, I felt such "disgust" for the brand that I was thinking of giving it a 1/5 star rating, but I held back in case I had just gotten a defective one...
--At some point, I decided to try the 16GB one and the experience was nothing like the previous one. "Normal" file transfer speed and no distortion during video playback.
Therefore, my experience is that with this brand you're testing your luck:
1/5 my first experience, 4/5 the second, so that's how I ended up with 3/5 in this review (*I was also thinking of 2/5 but decided to be... lenient).

This review is about the size: 256 GB

In terms of read speed, it's fine, with a sustained rate of around 90Mb/s with small fluctuations according to HDtune pro. However, when it comes to write speed, things change. It doesn't zero out during the transfer of large files like some other cheap options, but it is slow, with an average transfer speed of around 9Mb/s. When the buffer fills up, it briefly reaches 60-70Mb/s and then drops back down to 9. BUT, personally, I bought it because every PNY product I have purchased so far, regardless of price, has proven to be reliable. And in a cheap product, what you want is for it not to break on the next use. Only time will tell. In conclusion, if you're looking for a rocket-like USB stick in terms of write speed, look elsewhere, at more expensive options. With 22 euros for 256MB, don't expect miracles. And a piece of advice. Format your USB sticks with a relatively large cluster size, it gains a bit in speed but loses a bit in capacity, especially when transferring large files. If there are any issues with the stick, I will update.

I mainly use it for movies. Unfortunately, quite often the files get corrupted during transfer.
