Having the large XL grill for the past two years, I will say that it is the perfect size for a family of four.
I will start with the basics:

*It is very important to wait to hear the sound before using the grill. It takes a specific amount of time for it to reach the temperature you have set. Do not put the food on top before hearing the sound, as it will reduce the intensity and you will not achieve the desired result that the grill would give if you wait.
*Making breakfast, from toasting bread to making sandwiches, becomes a game. If you don't want the height of the bread to decrease, set it on a high heat and it will cook very quickly without the weight affecting your bread. Otherwise, cook on a lower heat and it will melt the cheese more in the case of sandwiches. (It can fit 6 slices of bread)
*Slices of regular bread come out perfectly toasted on high heat, just like a fireplace would do.
*A great feature of the grill is the even thickness of the item you are cooking. Of course, not bones.
*It grills frozen burgers and frozen steaks very well (do not flip them immediately, give them some time to form a crust first, remove the steam first, and then it will stabilize). I also tried schnitzel, just greased it with a brush first.
*It's unbeatable for fresh food.
*Definitely use it under a range hood, otherwise you will damage your cabinets with the steam. It's also clear that it will make your house smell like barbecue.
*Clean it while it's still warm with a kitchen roll to remove any excess, especially if you have cooked meat, and then wash it under the tap. (I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher like all good non-stick pans). For toast, I have a small cooking brush that I use to wipe it clean.
*All liquids collect in the front tray.
*Because it releases steam from the front, it also releases it from the back. It has a black cylindrical base, so clean that too, and wipe the back with a damp towel after cooking.
If you have storage space, you can choose this grill instead of another toaster grill.

The meats should be uniformly cut and boneless so that they can be cooked evenly. Also, the chicken should not be too thin because the lid has weight, it will flatten them and they will dry out. The same goes for toast, if you use very thin slices, it will make them even thinner. Just don't overcook it, just let it get a little color and melt the cheese.
Its cooking is not like charcoal, not even like grills with resistance... don't expect to see the same color, but it cooks them well on the inside. TIP: get a probe thermometer to be sure...
What it excels at is cooking and defrosting. I put burgers directly from the freezer and they turn out fine, the same goes for steaks, I just thaw them a little.
It doesn't cook all vegetables equally well. For example, it flattens and dries out mushrooms, but it does a good job with zucchini and eggplant (with a little oil and a little sauce on the front to keep it inside). I do this with whatever I have seen that it "dries out."
Overall, it's a large appliance, it needs storage space, but it is sturdy and easy to use. A bit expensive, though, I would only buy it on sale for around €120. However, with the fact that you can prepare a meal in 20-25 minutes and throw the grills in the dishwasher (or clean them with kitchen paper while it's still hot), I think it's worth it.
