Introduction to Geomythology
Geological and Physical Geography Dynamics
Almost everyone has accepted that Greek mythology is a captivating fairy tale that is completely unrelated to prehistoric reality.
However, the systematic study of climate evolution over the last 18,000 years, primarily and its impacts on the Aegean and the rest of the European area, has shown that the early cultural evolution of the inhabitants of the regions around the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean is directly linked to favorable climatic conditions, at the same time as the rest of Europe, north of the Pyrenees and the Alps, was experiencing cold (glacial period).
It has also been proven that the genealogical evolution of the gods, as bequeathed to us by Hesiod, follows the paleogeographic evolution of the Aegean during the period between 18,000 and 6,000 years ago.
This book succinctly analyzes the physical and geological evolution of the broader Aegean area, as well as some of the early technological activities of its prehistoric inhabitants.
