DO NOT BUY SEAGATE!! less than 6 months already failed and lost data. was left untouched on the desk.

Purchase 03/01/2025.
I put all the files I didn't want to lose as a backup and in the end it stopped working. Yesterday, when I tried to add more files, it didn't even recognize it. It kept making noises. It didn't even have 10 hours of operation. This company is worthless.

I don't remember when I got it... to let me evaluate logically not in 2017 which I think... it didn't last. I believe it just happened though.

Good and cheap disk. It is understood that after many file recordings, the transfer speed will drop sharply because its technology is SMR.

it crawls, goes into standby and it takes 3-6" to wake up! Not suitable for extension to work continuously. In the end, only ssd.

Lifespan 2 years. The second one I bought had exactly the same lifespan... 2 years + a few months. Just enough for the warranty to expire...
Never again Seagate.

For 2024, it goes without saying that it cannot be compared to SSDs and their speeds. But I have had this hard drive for a decade and everything is perfect. Reliable so far.

Good disk with satisfactory speed for its price

Hit the first day!!! What can you do with the statistics when the product becomes useless. Authentic, right? The exterior? Is it worth its money? No! The one star is only because it was produced! That's it! It's a shame, I have a Seagate 250GB for 20 years and it hasn't had any issues! Just like the others from different brands the size of TerabyteBait! But... old construction! Now I'm waiting for the refund process. The refund from Skroutz went fine, only they haven't confirmed yet that they have received it back... We'll see...

Excellent external hard drive. It is truly plug 'n' play. It was connected and installed by a person who is not very familiar with computers. The quality and security of SEAGATE are guaranteed and at an affordable price.

It was purchased about 1 and a half to 2 months ago for expansion space on a PS5 console (to store and play games with the version 4). The disc has frozen twice so far while loading the game (not at the beginning but during gameplay), causing it to crash and kick me out.

It is a very good disk, I use it exclusively for backing up my system.

The disk gave up in one year. Damage to one of the heads, and the price for data recovery is 550€.

Never again close to Seagate

He works on a Mac as a Time Capsule backup, I am completely satisfied, I would prefer it to have Type C instead of USB 3

Very good and at a good price.

I connect the USB and it takes a long time to read (it's not the cable's fault), right-click for information and to show 50GB it takes over 30 seconds... and now I have to buy another one to go and show it.

edit: I bought another one in August and after 1.5 months I installed a program and it shows over 1000 bad sectors... this one is also gone for recycling through warranty

Quite good I can say, it has never caused me any problems, I have had it for about five months and every time the power has gone out, it hasn't suffered any damage. I believe it's worth it and if you're considering getting an internal or external one, get an external hard drive

Purchased around Christmas 2020. At first, I thought the box was empty. Very lightweight construction. It looks fake. We always hold it when plugging it in and out of a computer or laptop, because the cable takes it with it. Time will tell. Its speed is normal. I rate it as "good" and we'll see. I will update if anything changes.

update 22/01/2023. I am updating after 2 years and a bit, and I give it another star, because as a Seagate, it still works. That is wonderful. There is no noticeable noise, so I hope it lasts. Of course, I only use it for file backups.

16-12-2025 The drive is still alive. The files are there whenever I needed them, and there is no strange noise!

(-) The material reminds me of a Chinese toy (while in the photo it looks high-quality)... very lightweight construction, you're afraid to touch it... they skimped a bit on the length of the cable (it's more convenient on a laptop).

(+) I can't say for sure about the speeds because I'm using it on USB 2.0 (30-40 mb/s)... the size is very practical (like a mobile phone with a 5'' screen)... I've already loaded 1.5/2 Tb and I use it daily without any problems...
