Awesome book, written in a different way than usual, very interesting, with beautiful stories that take you on a journey from the first chapter! It gives you a "picture", as a worthy book should do! It also has many interesting details and stories that we don't all know.

*Most books refer to events starting from a protagonist or a famous ancient etc., but here it narrates each story/chapter by talking about the ordinary everyday person, and then "introduces" the famous person involved.

While the idea is very good and quite interesting, the translation makes it difficult to read. It feels like it was done by AI and not by a Greek translator... as if that natural flow of Greek writing, which a good translator would convey, is missing.

For its price, the book is amazing. Very well written, you read details from the time of ancient Athens that we only learned through the great philosophers; we didn't know their daily lives (at least I didn't). If I have one negative, it's the quality of the paper that I didn't like; it reminded me of a book from a Sunday newspaper gift. I recommend it a thousand times. A beautiful gift.

Very nice book. It has many little stories and you learn a lot of things. The 4 stars are because some of the stories were a bit boring.

Very nice booklet and overall the separate little stories (per chapter) help you not to get bored. The references/citations within the text from historical/philological sources are quite useful. I definitely recommend it.
