The Yixing clay teapots are made in the homonymous city of Jiangshu province by exceptional craftsmen and are traditionally decorated with fantastic shapes such as flowers, fruits, bamboo trunks, or entire scenes.
It is recommended to use Yixing teapots for a single type of tea (e.g., pu’er, black, or oolong) as, due to the porous surface of the clay from which they are made, they have the property of absorbing and retaining the aromas of the teas brewed in them over time, creating a patina that enhances the flavor of each future infusion.
To clean your teapot, use only hot water and let it dry. Never use detergent or abrasive sponges.
