Overall, it is an amazing screen for its price... 120Hz and G-Sync are a life-changing experience, this experience makes it extremely difficult to go back to a screen that does not have variable refresh rate. Apart from that, it is essentially a Dell monitor and all that entails (excellent support, 3-year next business day replacement, etc). For its price and what it offers as a package, it is a very good value, if someone can afford it as it is by no means a cheap product.

A little bit of bleed glow in the corners, but the image it has elevates the monitor. I had the pg279q and I don't think I will go back to a 16:9 resolution. And a period passed and the aw3418dw passed from my hands... this one has more vibrant colors and better response, you can see the difference from the 3418dw.

Overall, I had never worked on an ultrawide or curved monitor before - I come from a 60Hz Full-HD IPS panel. It took me a week to get used to the curvature.
Apart from that, I have to say that the colors are amazing and the size of the panel is ideal for work.
There is some backlight bleed in the corners, but it is only noticeable when the image is completely black, so under normal use, nothing strange is visible.
Very sturdy construction and a serious stand for adjusting the position.
I didn't have much time for gaming, but the test games I played to see how they look on this monitor, I can confirm that it offers a very different experience both in terms of speed and immersion due to the ratio and size.

I have tried many monitors! VA - IPS - TN / Samsung - Acer - Asus / wide and ultrawide / G-Sync - FreeSync.. Since there is no store that brings all the monitors for someone to check them out and it is not easy to do so, I had to start trying monitors, with high costs as they all lost some of their value in every resale, in order to find one that covers me ~100%... In vain all this time. I had tried many wide monitors and some were quite satisfactory but they all had flaws that were deal breakers for me until I tried ultrawide and everything else ended and I entered a new cycle of searching for the almost perfect ultrawide.

The search is over....

The monitor is guys worth every penny! I'll give you a list of positives and negatives but I'm telling you now that you won't find almost anything negative... :P

Positives:

-Finally strong brightness for those who like it.. the aw3418dw was very dark and dull color-wise no matter how much calibration it had... This at 100% is unbearable for a long time.. It may be fine for gaming but if you go for browsing and open a fullscreen Google that is completely white, it's like a projector hitting you in the eyes.. :P

-The most beautiful colors I have encountered in an ultrawide.. They say it in the specs and it is proven with use.. 134% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3.. I emphasize again that we are talking about an ultrawide gaming monitor...

-120Hz without overclock... (of course the panel is actually (for those who don't already know) 144Hz but the Nvidia chip for G-Sync doesn't support more than 120Hz so the screen plays in underclock)

-G-Sync...

-2ms panel in ultrawide IPS and with 120Hz all native and without tricks from software... No more discussion...

-Perfect control buttons and much improved from their previous model

-Crazy anti-glare coating on the screen which cuts almost everything in reflections without affecting the image at all!!

-3 years on-site warranty from Dell... Good or bad, I don't know but it will show if needed.. knock on wood.. :P Anyway, 3 years is very good!

Negatives:

- Quite a bit of IPS glow in the corners but I promise you it's not enough to cancel out how PERFECT this monitor is.

- I would have liked a lower price but you get what you pay for and at this moment, in my opinion, it is a flagship killer for the other monitors that are currently available and cost from 2000€-3000€.

Final comments:

Guys.. Numbers speak and the image spoke to me.. and it told me exactly what the numbers were saying.. Always in my own opinion, because everything is subjective.. This monitor is the most complete thing out there and I believe it will remain one of the top monitors for many years! They have packed everything that ultrawide monitors couldn't have for so long into this and at a perfect price compared to its competitors. I have nothing else to ask for from a monitor.. Everything runs smoothly! Of course, to achieve a permanent 120fps, you also need the appropriate PC. I'm running it with an i9-9900k and 2080ti and I believe this is the best setup to be able to run AAA games at full or almost full settings, but even with lower specs, there is G-Sync which those who have played with it know that it doesn't disappoint at all.

Finally, my opinion is that in the future Dell may release the same monitor with freesync and maximized hz at 144, so whoever wants this solution can wait. Personally, I am not excited if something like this is released because I do not want to rely on software solutions (gsync compatible..) and also I do not think it is worth not having a monitor without the official hardware support of gsync just for 24hz more that you won't even notice since the monitor with all these specs is already top-notch in performance! The only thing you can possibly gain is in price, which I don't think they will make it much lower with these specs.

That's it.. I hope I didn't bore you! Congratulations to whoever chooses it and keep posting reviews, guys! Don't get bored.. It helps a lot of people with their purchases.

EDIT: I didn't know.. I read it somewhere and I thought it can't be true.. I tried it with another PC and yes! It's true! The monitor is both freesync compatible and flawlessly works without any tearing of the image and with an AMD card... Okay.. It's the most complete thing there is with +1 more confirmation.

Well - the first one I got had an internal scratch (and some small dents) - which was visible when light fell on it. Internally, on the plate right behind the LCD, where it emits light.

I returned it and they immediately replaced it for me...

The second one I got has 3 internal scratches, one of them much more intense! and others smaller.

If you see it together with the box, it is huge, difficult to transport, and to package, unpack and all that...

Now, I have to take it back for the second time, they will think I'm crazy and weird - so I will probably just keep it and deal with the poor quality screen that I paid a fortune for....
Find another brand...

I waited a long time for a monitor like this to come out so I could get a wide one.
It is good for both gaming and work - very clear image - bright, fast, and nice colors.

I don't have much to say - someone needs to see it before buying it - even then, when it settles in the office, they may not like it... for a few years now, I have been to many stores looking for a satisfactory wide monitor and I ended up with this one.

What I have to say about this one is that its pixels are very small and clear - the colors are very good, it has a very good response in games, as well as in programs - I am a little bothered by the stand with its big feet, they bother me a little with the keyboard and the position of the mouse and the tablet, so I have to put them a little further back, a little further away...

One of the amazing things is that it reflects almost nothing from the surrounding lights..

Overall, I had never worked on an ultrawide or curved monitor before - I come from a 60Hz Full-HD IPS panel. It took me a week to get used to the curvature.
Apart from that, I have to say that the colors are amazing and the size of the panel is ideal for work.
There is some backlight bleed in the corners, but it is only noticeable when the image is completely black, so under normal use, nothing strange is visible.
Very sturdy construction and a serious stand for adjusting the position.
I didn't have much time for gaming, but the test games I played to see how they look on this monitor, I can confirm that it offers a very different experience both in terms of speed and immersion due to the ratio and size.

I have tried many monitors! VA - IPS - TN / Samsung - Acer - Asus / wide and ultrawide / G-Sync - FreeSync.. Since there is no store that brings all the monitors for someone to check them out and it is not easy to do so, I had to start trying monitors, with high costs as they all lost some of their value in every resale, in order to find one that covers me ~100%... In vain all this time. I had tried many wide monitors and some were quite satisfactory but they all had flaws that were deal breakers for me until I tried ultrawide and everything else ended and I entered a new cycle of searching for the almost perfect ultrawide.

The search is over....

The monitor is guys worth every penny! I'll give you a list of positives and negatives but I'm telling you now that you won't find almost anything negative... :P

Positives:

-Finally strong brightness for those who like it.. the aw3418dw was very dark and dull color-wise no matter how much calibration it had... This at 100% is unbearable for a long time.. It may be fine for gaming but if you go for browsing and open a fullscreen Google that is completely white, it's like a projector hitting you in the eyes.. :P

-The most beautiful colors I have encountered in an ultrawide.. They say it in the specs and it is proven with use.. 134% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3.. I emphasize again that we are talking about an ultrawide gaming monitor...

-120Hz without overclock... (of course the panel is actually (for those who don't already know) 144Hz but the Nvidia chip for G-Sync doesn't support more than 120Hz so the screen plays in underclock)

-G-Sync...

-2ms panel in ultrawide IPS and with 120Hz all native and without tricks from software... No more discussion...

-Perfect control buttons and much improved from their previous model

-Crazy anti-glare coating on the screen which cuts almost everything in reflections without affecting the image at all!!

-3 years on-site warranty from Dell... Good or bad, I don't know but it will show if needed.. knock on wood.. :P Anyway, 3 years is very good!

Negatives:

- Quite a bit of IPS glow in the corners but I promise you it's not enough to cancel out how PERFECT this monitor is.

- I would have liked a lower price but you get what you pay for and at this moment, in my opinion, it is a flagship killer for the other monitors that are currently available and cost from 2000€-3000€.

Final comments:

Guys.. Numbers speak and the image spoke to me.. and it told me exactly what the numbers were saying.. Always in my own opinion, because everything is subjective.. This monitor is the most complete thing out there and I believe it will remain one of the top monitors for many years! They have packed everything that ultrawide monitors couldn't have for so long into this and at a perfect price compared to its competitors. I have nothing else to ask for from a monitor.. Everything runs smoothly! Of course, to achieve a permanent 120fps, you also need the appropriate PC. I'm running it with an i9-9900k and 2080ti and I believe this is the best setup to be able to run AAA games at full or almost full settings, but even with lower specs, there is G-Sync which those who have played with it know that it doesn't disappoint at all.

Finally, my opinion is that in the future Dell may release the same monitor with freesync and maximized hz at 144, so whoever wants this solution can wait. Personally, I am not excited if something like this is released because I do not want to rely on software solutions (gsync compatible..) and also I do not think it is worth not having a monitor without the official hardware support of gsync just for 24hz more that you won't even notice since the monitor with all these specs is already top-notch in performance! The only thing you can possibly gain is in price, which I don't think they will make it much lower with these specs.

EDIT: I didn't know.. I read it somewhere and I thought it can't be true.. I tried it with another PC and yes! It's true! The monitor is both freesync compatible and flawlessly works without any tearing of the image and with an AMD card... Okay.. It's the most complete thing there is with +1 more confirmation.

Well - the first one I got had an internal scratch (and some small dents) - which was visible when light fell on it. Internally, on the plate right behind the LCD, where it emits light.

I returned it and they immediately replaced it for me...

The second one I got has 3 internal scratches, one of them much more intense! and others smaller.

If you see it together with the box, it is huge, difficult to transport, and to package, unpack and all that...

Now, I have to take it back for the second time, they will think I'm crazy and weird - so I will probably just keep it and deal with the poor quality screen that I paid a fortune for....

I waited a long time for a monitor like this to come out so I could get a wide one.
It is good for both gaming and work - very clear image - bright, fast, and nice colors.

I don't have much to say - someone needs to see it before buying it - even then, when it settles in the office, they may not like it... for a few years now, I have been to many stores looking for a satisfactory wide monitor and I ended up with this one.

What I have to say about this one is that its pixels are very small and clear - the colors are very good, it has a very good response in games, as well as in programs - I am a little bothered by the stand with its big feet, they bother me a little with the keyboard and the position of the mouse and the tablet, so I have to put them a little further back, a little further away...

One of the amazing things is that it reflects almost nothing from the surrounding lights..
