    I haven't had it for more than 4 years and I have been using it twice a week for the past two years...everything was fine until today when I almost got burned, the plates came off while I was straightening my hair!!! If you have any god, they came off!!! It started smoking and, of course, it burned a tuft of my hair, luckily towards the end and I cut it with scissors. I could easily have gotten an electric shock! I don't know if it matters, but I was using it at 180 degrees, i.e. at a moderate temperature. I really don't understand the stupidity of the manufacturers!!!

The press is AMAZING in its performance and easily compares to more expensive salon ones. The only negative thing I have encountered in both previous ones is that they stopped working after 4 years. I opened them, since they are a bit tricky to hold, maybe something has come loose/moved but nothing. Obviously, there is a problem with the circuit board or something similar
