With a maximum aperture of f/1.4, an internal floating focusing system, and a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), you gain fast and precise control over the artistic effects achieved by the lens's high-quality elements.

For wide-angle photography, this 35mm lens with a circular 9-blade f/1.4 aperture ensures excellent brightness and background blur effects (bokeh). The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces reflections and ghosting, providing clear and high-contrast images even in backlit conditions.

The Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) and the internal floating focusing system ensure fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus. You can adjust the focus using either autofocus (AF) or full manual focus without needing to change the camera settings.

For greater build quality and durability, all metal parts and the new Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material are placed internally. The brass bayonet mount has high precision and durability, with a special surface treatment applied for increased longevity.
