After a lot of research on what headphones to get and reading reviews, etc., I ended up with these. I've never had "good" headphones like these before, and my experience was with headphones like the ones in internet cafes, such as the Razer Kraken and similar ones. The main criteria for buying them was that they are lightweight and can be used almost anywhere, and obviously the good reviews I read about the sound, etc. Mainly used for PC.
I can say that when I first put them on, I was incredibly disappointed.
I say this because first of all, their sound, although good, is not very loud at maximum volume, not as loud as I was used to at least. The second issue was the bass. Unfortunately, if you simply use them without any equalizer or even with the Steelseries Engine, which is recommended to download, it is literally bad in my opinion!
After further searching, I found that with a good equalizer, at least the bass can be fixed to a decent level, as well as the maximum volume to some extent! What I recommend is Boom 3D, which you can find on RARBG as a torrent if you don't want to pay for it.
The settings I use are as follows:
If your PC has Dolby Atmos support for headphones, you MUST enable it, also in the enhancements that Windows has, you should enable bass boost. In Boom 3D, I have chosen ambience at full and as an equalizer preset, I either choose game for gaming or Dubstep for music, and I don't tick advanced. For volume, you can increase the slider as much as you want from the right. Oh, and in the Steelseries Engine, no changes and keep it closed because it distorts the sound too much.
I don't have an opinion on consoles, I've heard that when they are connected with the cable, they have more volume. I hope I helped anyone who sees this after buying them to fix them a bit. If I couldn't find a solution for the bass and volume, I would give them a 3/5 rating.
After a week of use, I concluded that for most things, the best settings in Boom3D are the enhanced Dubstep preset, with Fidelity mode at full like in the photo, and always the Dolby Atmos mode from Windows.
Μετα απο αρκετη ερευνα για το τι ακουστικα να παρω και reviews κλπ κατεληξα σε αυτα. Δεν ειχα ποτε "καλα" ακουστικα τετοιου τυπου και η εμπειρια μου ηταν με ακουστικα που εχουν τα internet cafe πχ Razer Kraken και συναφη. Βασικα κριτηρια που τα αγορασα ηταν οτι ειναι ελαφρια και μπορεις να τα χρησιμοποιησεις οπουδηποτε σχεδον και προφανως οι καλες κριτικες που διαβασα για τον ηχο κλπ. Κυρια χρηση για PC.
Μπορω να πω οτι οταν τα εβαλα πρωτη φορα απογοητευτηκα απιστευτα.
Το λεω αυτο γιατι πρωτων ο ηχος τους αν και καλος, στο μεγιστο δεν ειναι και πολυ δυνατος, οχι οσο ειχα συνηθισει τουλαχιστον. Το δευτερο κακο ηταν το μπασο. Δυστυχως αν απλα τα χρησιμοποιεις χωρις καποιο Equalizer ή και ακομα με το Steelseries Engine οπου συνισταται να κατεβασεις, ειναι κυριολεκτικα κακο κατα τη γνωμη μου!!!!
Μετα απο κι αλλο ψαξιμο λοιπον βρηκα οτι με ενα καλο Equalizer το μπασο τουλαχιστον φτιαχνεται σε ενα αξιοπρεπες επιπεδο οπως και η μεγιστη ενταση καπως! Αυτο που προτεινω εγω ειναι το Boom 3D, το οποιο αν δεν θες να το πληρώσεις μπορεις να το βρεις στο RARBG σε torrent.
Οι ρυθμίσεις που χρησιμοποιω εγω ειναι οι εξεις:
Αν το PC σου εχει Dolby Atmos support για Headphones, ΠΡΕΠΕΙ να το ενεργοποιησεις, επισης απο τα enhancements που εχουν τα windows πρεπει να βαλεις το bass boost. Στο Boom 3D εχω διαλεξει ambience στο φουλ και σαν equalizer preset βαζω ειτε το game για παιχνιδια η το Dubstep για μουσικη και οχι τικ στο advanced. Για την ενταση ανεβαζεις οσο θες το slider απο δεξια. Αα και στο Steelseries Εngine καμια αλλαγη και κλειστο γιατι παραμορφώνει τον ηχο πολυ.
Για κονσολες δεν εχω αποψη, εχω ακουσει οτι οταν ειναι συνδεδεμενα με το καλωδιο εχουν περισσοτερη ενταση.
Ελπιζω να βοηθησα οποιον το δει αφου τα αγορασει να φτιαξει λιγο. Αν δεν εβρισκα λυση για το μπασο και την ενταση θα εβαζα 3/5.
Μετα απο μια βδομαδα χρησης κατεληξα οτι για τα περισσοτερα πραγματα, οι καλυτερες ρυθμισεις στο Boom3D ειναι ενισχυμενο το Dubstep preset, με Fidelity mode στο φουλ οπως στη φωτο και παντα το Dolby Atmos mode απο τα Windows.
