The family tradition dating back to the mid-19th century formed the unique recipe that created the well-known Chios Ouzo Tetteris. Chios Ouzo Tetteris has been produced since the mid-19th century.

It was first distilled by Stylianos Tetteris in 1846, initially as a product for home use. Soon, with his dedication and passion to produce the best anise distillate, he managed to make his ouzo known throughout Chios.
