I couldn't manage to connect it to anything, using the eWeLink app on both iPhone and Android. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the compatible pairing mode as mentioned in its manual. I don't know if this specific device is problematic. However, I tried with 2 different modem/routers (from different manufacturers and always on 2.4GHz networks) and other "tricks" that I found on the internet, such as using only letters and numbers for the network name and password, initially connecting it to another device working as a hotspot with the same network name and password, etc. Nothing worked. Maybe it needs some kind of hub to connect to initially. If I try it, I will come back.
Initially, I preferred it because I thought the Basic R2 doesn't have the function of automatic closing after opening (inching). Then I realized that I wasted my money on the R3, as the R2 covers all my needs (+inching). To connect the R2, I needed the compatible pairing mode, but it connected immediately. If I find time, maybe I will try to upgrade the firmware of the R3 (flash) to see if the problem is solved and if I manage to make it compatible with Apple HomeKit.
Δεν κατάφερα να το συνδέσω με τίποτα, χρησιμοποιώντας την εφαρμογή eWeLink σε iPhone αλλά και σε Android. Δυστυχώς δεν έχει το compatible pairing mode όπως αναφέρεται στο εγχειρίδιό του. Δεν ξέρω αν είναι προβληματική η συγκεκριμένη συσκευή. Πάντως, δοκίμασα 2 διαφορετικά modem/routers (διαφορετικού κατασκευαστή και πάντα σε δίκτυα των 2.4GHz) και άλλα "κόλπα" που κατάφερα να βρω στο διαδίκτυο, όπως να χρησιμοποιήσω μόνο γράμματα και αριθμούς για το όνομα και τον κωδικό του δικτύου, να το συνδέσω αρχικά με άλλη συσκευή που θα δουλεύει σαν hotspot με το ίδιο όνομα και κωδικό δικτύου κλπ. Τίποτα δεν δούλεψε. Ίσως χρειάζεται κάποιου είδους hub για να συνδεθεί εκεί αρχικά. Αν το δοκιμάσω θα επανέλθω.
Αρχικά το είχα προτιμήσει γιατί νόμιζα πως το Basic R2 δεν έχει τη λειτουργία με το αυτόματο κλείσιμο μετά το άνοιγμα (inching). Στη συνέχεια κατάλαβα πως τζάμπα πέταξα τα χρήματά μου στο R3, καθώς το R2 καλύπτει όλες μου τις ανάγκες (+inching). Για να συνδέσω το R2, χρειάστηκα το compatible pairing mode, αλλά συνδέθηκε αμέσως. Αν βρω χρόνο ίσως ασχοληθώ με το να κάνω upgrade στο firmware του R3 (flash) για να δω αν θα λυθεί το πρόβλημα κι αν καταφέρω να το κάνω συμβατό με Apple HomeKit.
