The game consists of 12 different pieces made from rectangular blocks, with each piece consisting of 5 "squares".
An older version of the game had only 10 pieces, as it did not include the completely straight piece of 5 squares and the "cross" of 5 squares. Both versions also feature various "supplementary" pieces of 1 or 2 squares.
The game board features a movable divider, allowing the use of sets from 4 to the total of 12 pieces to form a rectangle of 5 blocks by X (where X = the number of wooden blocks in your version).
The strategic game for 2 or 3 players is played on a square board divided into 64 smaller squares. Players take turns to place a piece on the board. The first player who cannot place another piece loses.
The 2-player mode is played by dividing the board into two sections, with each player choosing five blocks and also receiving 4 small "supplementary" blocks of 1 and 2 squares. The first player to perfectly place all their blocks on their half of the rectangular board wins.
