  • Very good purchase! I had an SMSL SP200 which, although very detailed, is a bit cold and has some issues with the potentiometer. The LX2 - HPA has very good build quality, feels sturdy, and the potentiometer as well as the other switches have a very good feel. Sound-wise, it is very clear! You can essentially hear the DAC, this one doesn’t stand out much! No noise, no distortion at all. Very powerful! For the HD 580s that I have, the gain switch from -6dB needed to be raised to 0 without any impact on sound clarity. There is also the +6 option, of course! The only thing I would like is to be able to control the volume on the speakers from its own potentiometer when using it as a preamp. It has RCA output but it is line level. Other than that, it is very good!

Simply...THERE IS NONE! Forget everything you knew so far about source-headphone connections. You will experience unprecedented situations. Now you are part of the musical ensemble. You are not the listener but the protagonist himself. You will hear a unique acoustic immediacy, as well as details that were simply previously carefully covered. The instruments, especially the percussion, come forward and the rhythm gains body, power, and above all a distinct position. The vocals, excellently with enough "moisture" in their timbre, will impress you, while finally in complex orchestral formations everything is simply in its right place without the phenomenon of recording compression. A small diamond, but with unique value that every serious music lover listener must possess.
