I have tried many types of earplugs (both wax and foam) and I was not satisfied as I expected, especially the foam ones were too hard for my ears. Then I tried the Modex ones, they were not bad but nothing special, and some others as well, and finally I ended up with these ones. They are actually good and soft. I get the blue box, there is also a pink one which is softer, but I haven't tried it yet. They do the job, but after 3 or 4 uses, they lose their effectiveness, unfortunately. Overall, I haven't found anything long-lasting yet. I have been recommended wax and silicone ones, but they hurt my ears badly and they are not convenient at all. I am looking forward to trying other ones to see!

It isolates the sound more than any others (at least from the ones I have tried, and there were many!!!!!). I haven't found the perfect one yet, but it reduces the sound quite a bit. If you put them on correctly, your ear doesn't hurt and I use them for several days (around a week).

I have been using them for about 1.5 years.

1. It is indeed "single-use". After a few days of use, the earplugs lose their ability to "mold" with the hand. This means that as soon as you press them, they return directly to their original shape, making them essentially useless, as they can no longer be placed in the ears.
2. They are not as soft as they seem. If you sleep on your side, after a few hours, it is possible to feel pain due to the pressure exerted by the earplugs on the ear canals.
3. The possibility of causing an allergic reaction cannot be ruled out, due to their material. In case of prolonged use, it is possible to experience itching in the ears at the points where the earplugs touch.

*I use the word "possible" because everyone has different sensitivities, so it does not mean that what I describe will happen to everyone.
