    It doesn't retain salts; this filter is already for water that you are already "drinking." When looking for water filters, first, don't trust the sellers... In the link, look at what the sellers don't tell you... also, before you buy a filter, type the company's name and production video on YouTube... you'll see that there aren't any... because they import everything from China via Europe or America to claim it's theirs and of superior quality. Aquaphor as a company is global and a manufacturer... here on the Veluda site, it provides filters... anyway, I have the filters in 3 areas... perfect. And in Heraklion, Crete, and at least 2 families have it, it's just fine. Used in Crete, Rhodes, Corinth, Argos, Nafplio, and Athens... update: it also says on the packaging DOES NOT retain salts!!! Nitrates from boreholes...

    The regular replacement filters do their job just fine. I change them every 10 months for a family of four. Don't make the mistake of getting filters that retain impurities. I made the mistake of trying them and had to change them after 3 days. With those, the water does have a strange taste, maybe like orange soda, as my friend suggested. Maybe he accidentally ordered or was sent such replacement filters

    had a slightly strange taste that worsened day by day. Today it has reached a point where the taste of the water reminds me of orange soda.
