The ACC-4 filter series uses a blend of granular activated carbon to reduce the taste and odor of chlorine and is ideal for use as a reverse osmosis pre-filter or post-filter.

The Aqua Filter FCCBL-S is a solid activated carbon (Carbon Block) filter that achieves complete water filtration. Made from 50% coconut shell carbon and 50% solid activated carbon, certified by NSF (certified raw material).

Features:

  • Compact activated carbon (Carbon Block), which achieves complete water filtration
  • Made from 50% coconut shell carbon and 50% bituminous activated carbon, NSF certified (certified raw material)
  • Contains special resin for heavy metal removal (removal of Pb, Cu, Hg, Sr, Cs) for up to 9,400 liters of water
  • Removes chlorine, organics, chemicals, pesticides, unpleasant odor and taste from tap water
  • Microparticle filtration (dirt, rust, sand, etc.) up to 5 microns
  • Removes up to 99% of chlorine in water
  • Removal of organic pollutants

    I have been using it for a year now. I bought it in a set with the whole system with a faucet and another filter just for sediment retention. I live in Crete where the water is quite hard and also has a strong taste and smell where I live. Only with this set, the taste and smell have been reduced by 80%. I also added a Samsung refrigerator filter in line, and now the water has a nice sweet taste as it should. Now, whether it fully and effectively retains all the other chemicals and heavy metals that do NOT give smell and taste to the water, I don't know. It is, however, cheap and effective. If I lived in Athens, it is very likely that the extra Samsung filter would not be needed.
