The Pentek-R30-478 5" pleated sediment filter cartridge is made of durable, non-woven, and reusable (washable) polyester fabric that is suitable for a wide range of filtration uses.
It is the primary and usually the first stage filter that we use in every installation as it removes solid particles from the water, such as sand and rust, while also acting as a pre-filter for the filtration of smaller particles.
It does not impart taste, odor, or color to the filtered water when used within the recommended temperature limit. It has a nominal filtration of 30 microns and is particularly recommended for medium sediments.
High-quality solid particle pre-filter made of polypropylene that removes medium impurities, mud, sand, rust particles, soil, sediments, micro-particles, etc. The filter is non-toxic and absolutely suitable for drinking water. For proper use of the filter, it should be replaced every 6-12 months (depending on the quality of the water passing through the filtration medium).
