Description

Description

Adventurous novel featuring a chase for archaeological treasures, personal existential crises, and passionate loves. Agents from secret services, criminal organizations, and churches are searching for stolen ancient artifacts and their buried counterparts somewhere in the Sahara, on behalf of ruthless politicians, merciless clergy, and greedy money-lovers.

The information about the artifacts - if published! - will shake the history of the Western World to its core. The Sahara Desert becomes a field of espionage, excavations, and bloodshed... It also becomes the mirror of the existential crisis many involved characters face and the dormitory of daily and nightly loves.

The heads of the agents in Athens, Cairo, New York, Ivanovo, Venice, the Vatican, and Istanbul are anxious, devising tactics, recalling agents who have failed in their missions for execution, trembling for their own flesh - that’s why they multiply the paid assassins around them - while appearing to society like innocent doves.

The existential crises belong to the agents - 'fixed-term contractors'. They clash with the rules of their profession, with Love, which pulls them by the sleeve, their views on life, and their conscience.

In moments of waiting or respite, they engage in delirious conversations with themselves, and the cracks that reveal themselves in their personalities allow us to gauge the magnitude of their despair; as for the traces of blood we perceive, they reveal the internal hemorrhage of their personal utopia.
