The air drawn by the vent hood is either expelled through a duct or recirculated within the hood. For air extraction operation, a duct needs to be installed to expel the air outside the kitchen. It accepts metal filters, which can be removed and washed in the dishwasher or by hand, and do not require frequent replacement. Additionally, it accepts carbon filters, which are necessary for air recirculation operation. Carbon filters are not washable and it is recommended to replace them every 4-6 months.
