Description

It has been over 20 years since the last edition of the teaching book on General Pathological Anatomy, which was distributed to students of the Veterinary School of A.U.Th. However, it is widely accepted that biological phenomena are in constant evolution.

This has led to rapid advancements in significant achievements in the field of biological sciences. In particular, in the area of Pathological Anatomy, significant developments have promoted new concepts, such as cellular apoptosis, oncogenes, cytokines, as well as immunological mechanisms and parameters.

The above necessitated the writing of a new book that includes all the latest data relevant to General Pathological Anatomy, in a simple and comprehensible language. Thus, efforts were made to ensure that the book serves the needs of our students while also being a reference source for postgraduate students and graduate colleagues.

To this end, the theoretical part is supplemented with images and diagrams for easier understanding. This edition includes the Pathology of the cell and interstitial tissue, as well as Disorders of the cardiovascular and hematopoietic systems.
