As the years went by, I realized that one of the biggest problems facing my older students was sorrow. A large majority of my students were entrepreneurs, employees, salespeople, engineers, accountants: a crossroads of all professions and trades - and most of them had problems!

There were also women in my classes - women in business as well as housewives. However, they too had problems! Therefore, I clearly understood that what I needed was a teaching book on how to overcome sorrow: that’s why I searched again to find such a text.

I went to the big bookstores on Fifth Avenue in New York and those on Forty-second Street and was astonished to discover that there were only twenty-two books related to ‘Sorrow’, while on the subject of ‘Worm’ there were one hundred eighty-nine books. That is, nearly nine times more books written about worms than about sorrow! Amazing, isn’t it? And to think that sorrow is one of the biggest problems faced by mankind!
