For 15 years they were the best and I changed them every 6 months. Now they leave a strong aftertaste/smell in the water, like burnt, like chlorine, very unpleasant and very intense, making them useless. The taste and smell remain exactly the same even after 3 months of use with Athens water, while the tap water had absolutely no taste or smell! Truly a shame.

I have been using it since 2017. It was top-notch! But not anymore. Both that I bought for different filter holders, one ATLAS and one PENTAIR, are useless! The taste of the water is strange, like drinking plastic, it smells and chlorine also passes through. The chlorine test on the water from the filters is worse than the water directly from the tap! While searching, I read that they stopped producing it as OBE and I can no longer find it on the official page of the British company. They produce it only for their own filter boxes, screw type and not as OBE for 10". It made me wonder where the ones I bought came from!

While I liked the first replacement filter, I learned that its production stopped about 3 years ago.

The last replacement filter I bought gave a strange taste and smell to the water. I returned it to the dealer and got another brand.

Unfortunately, the only way now for Doulton under-sink filters is the other type they have, which, however, requires a Doulton fitting to connect, which costs much more than the 10" housings.

The best all-in-one filter of this type according to reports from professionals. In practice, it definitely makes a difference, it holds a lot of dirt and not just that (it needs cleaning every 1-1.5 months). After living with it, the water from any other tap, especially the hot water supply, smells like dirt and chlorine.

Another more expensive filter that I bought for better quality. Location Athens, nothing special compared to the cheap ones. The fact that you can take it out and clean it made me suspicious because it's silly, and I checked it on the official NSF, the model doesn't even exist. The taste is the same as the cheap ones; it captures chlorine here in Athens. Also, after a measurement I did in a laboratory on another supposedly American filter, the measurements were the same between the filter and EYDAP, except for the chlorine. For what reason?

It does a very good job! Approximately every three months, it needs to be opened for cleaning in the ceramic part of the filter!

I have been using Ultracarb for about 5 years and I am very satisfied. I chose them because of their characteristics and I haven't changed brands since then. They have nothing to do with the Leica pitcher filters I used before. They improve the taste of water. Of course, in Athens, you don't really notice the difference, but in other areas (such as Kos and Orestiada), where the water has a slight aftertaste, the difference is more noticeable.

We trust the company. The taste of the water is neutral, very good. Without being cleaned at all in between, it lasts about 11-12 months, maybe a little less if it is for family use. However, it is recommended to wash the filter, as described in detail in the instructions, every six months or quarterly.

Excellent filter, makes a big difference. I changed my previous one when I tried the water I put in the fridge and it tasted metallic like the refrigerator. This one produces water like a spring. The best for drinking, making coffee, tea, and washing fruits and vegetables, and of course for cooking
