It seems normal to me in terms of taste; I didn’t notice any difference from the American ones. I let the tap run for about 15 minutes, as recommended; I did the same with the American ones. It loses a star for the psychological reason that it’s made in India—I do have some doubts about hygiene and certification standards in India. I’ll probably buy them again if the American ones don’t lower their prices.

update: I am not deleting the initial comment above. Only a few hours have passed since I installed the filter. I let it run as the instructions say, but not for 20 minutes. I let it run for 5 minutes and already the taste is gone. So maybe this happens at the beginning. I'm relieved and I'm simply changing my rating to 4 stars. Although now, regarding the filtering, how well it actually does its job I will probably never know. I just hope that all these do something good rather than having nothing at all.
στο σπίτι όπου μετακομίσαμε οι ιδιοκτήτες είχαν βρύση με φίλτρο. επειδή είχε κλείσει χρόνο αλλάξαμε το παλιό φίλτρο μάρκας Doulton UltraCarb το οποίο κοστίζει πάνω κάτω 60€ και βάλαμε μετά από κριτικές θετικές το πιο οικονομικό ίδιων προδιαγραφών ακριβώς της matrikx.
Έχω απογοητευτεί εξαιτίας της γεύσης του νερού.
Έχει μια άσχημη γεύση που θυμίζει ψαρίλα.
Με το προηγούμενο παρότι ήθελε αλλαγή δεν ένιωθες καμία κακή γεύση. Βάζω 2 αστέρια αλλά δεν ξέρω πραγματικά τι βαθμολογία αξίζει. I opened the filter box to check the filter after 3 months and it had turned green. I don't know if this is normal but I will not use it again. Additionally, I personally did not like the taste of the water at all.

The water quality after a 4-month test is quite good and the kettle I use repeatedly has not collected any limescale at all compared to the other filter that had collected.
Παρα πολυ καλο φιλτρο και αμεσος ειδα διαφορα με το προηγουμενο που ειχα και καλα ειναι να ακουλοθηστε τις οδηγίες που λέει και για ασφαλεια καθαριστε το πλαστικο που βαζεται το φιλτρο νερο ωστε να ειναι καθαρο ,πριν βαλετε το φιλτρο νερου και το αφήσετε για 20 λεπτα να τρεχει και το νερο οταν το βάλετε στην συσκευη που έχετε.

Η ποιοτητα νερου μετα απο δοκιμη 4 μηνων ειναι αρκετα καλη και ο Βραστηρας που χρησιμοποιώ κατα επαναληψει δεν εχει μαζεψει καθολου αλατα σε σχεση με το αλλο φιλτρο που ειχε μαζεψει.

The filter does an excellent job for the purpose I bought it, which was filtering out the chlorine that is very strong in my area. The downside is that it lowers the water pressure at the tap. I installed it at the main supply of the house, where there is another (simple) filter to catch the bigger particles (e.g. dirt, etc.). Maybe it should have been installed elsewhere, but it wasn't easy.

It seems normal to me in terms of taste; I didn’t notice any difference from the American ones. I let the tap run for about 15 minutes, as recommended; I did the same with the American ones. It loses a star for the psychological reason that it’s made in India—I do have some doubts about hygiene and certification standards in India. I’ll probably buy them again if the American ones don’t lower their prices.

With the previous one, even though it needed changing, you didn't notice any bad taste. I'm giving 2 stars but I really don't know what rating it deserves. I hope it changes after some time, maybe because it's just the beginning. Otherwise, I won't use it if I see the taste doesn't change. I will throw it away and prefer to buy the expensive one again or none at all.
update: I am not deleting the initial comment above. Only a few hours have passed since I installed the filter. I let it run as the instructions say, but not for 20 minutes. I let it run for 5 minutes and already the taste is gone. So maybe this happens at the beginning. I'm relieved and I'm simply changing my rating to 4 stars. Although now, regarding the filtering, how well it actually does its job I will probably never know. I just hope that all these do something good rather than having nothing at all.
στο σπίτι όπου μετακομίσαμε οι ιδιοκτήτες είχαν βρύση με φίλτρο. επειδή είχε κλείσει χρόνο αλλάξαμε το παλιό φίλτρο μάρκας Doulton UltraCarb το οποίο κοστίζει πάνω κάτω 60€ και βάλαμε μετά από κριτικές θετικές το πιο οικονομικό ίδιων προδιαγραφών ακριβώς της matrikx.
Έχω απογοητευτεί εξαιτίας της γεύσης του νερού.
Έχει μια άσχημη γεύση που θυμίζει ψαρίλα.
Με το προηγούμενο παρότι ήθελε αλλαγή δεν ένιωθες καμία κακή γεύση. Βάζω 2 αστέρια αλλά δεν ξέρω πραγματικά τι βαθμολογία αξίζει. Ελπίζω να αλλάξει μετά από κάποιο διάστημα, ελπίζω επειδή είναι αρχή ίσως. αλλιώς δεν πρόκειται να το χρησιμοποιήσω αν δω ότι δεν αλλάζει η γεύση. θα το πετάξω και προτιμώ να αγοράσω ξανά το ακριβό η καθόλου.
update: δεν σβήνω το αρχικό σχόλιο παραπάνω. έχουν περάσει μόνο λίγες ώρες απο όταν έβαλα το φίλτρο. Το άφησα να τρέξει όπως λένε οι οδηγίες όχι όμως 20 λεπτά. 5 λεπτά το άφησα να τρέχει και ήδη η γεύση έφυγε. Οπότε μάλλον αυτό συμβαίνει στην αρχή. Ησύχασα και αλλάζω απλά τη βαθμολογία μου στα 4 αστέρια. Αν και τώρα στο θέμα φιλτραρίσματος, το ποσό καλά κάνει τη δουλειά του δεν θα το μάθω ποτέ μάλλον. Ελπίζω απλά ότι κάτι καλό κάνουν όλα αυτά από το να μην είχες καθόλου.
I opened the filter box to check the filter after 3 months and it had turned green. I don't know if this is normal but I will not use it again. Additionally, I personally did not like the taste of the water at all.

Very good filter and I immediately saw a difference compared to the previous one I had, and it is good to follow the instructions it says, and for safety clean the plastic where you put the water filter so that it is clean, before you put the water filter in and leave it for 20 minutes to run the water too when you put it in the device you have.

The water quality after a 4-month test is quite good and the kettle I use repeatedly has not collected any limescale at all compared to the other filter that had collected.
Παρα πολυ καλο φιλτρο και αμεσος ειδα διαφορα με το προηγουμενο που ειχα και καλα ειναι να ακουλοθηστε τις οδηγίες που λέει και για ασφαλεια καθαριστε το πλαστικο που βαζεται το φιλτρο νερο ωστε να ειναι καθαρο ,πριν βαλετε το φιλτρο νερου και το αφήσετε για 20 λεπτα να τρεχει και το νερο οταν το βάλετε στην συσκευη που έχετε.

Η ποιοτητα νερου μετα απο δοκιμη 4 μηνων ειναι αρκετα καλη και ο Βραστηρας που χρησιμοποιώ κατα επαναληψει δεν εχει μαζεψει καθολου αλατα σε σχεση με το αλλο φιλτρο που ειχε μαζεψει.

The filter does an excellent job for the purpose I bought it, which was filtering out the chlorine that is very strong in my area. The downside is that it lowers the water pressure at the tap. I installed it at the main supply of the house, where there is another (simple) filter to catch the bigger particles (e.g. dirt, etc.). Maybe it should have been installed elsewhere, but it wasn't easy.

This is an affordable filter with certifications from official bodies. Compared to the previous filter I used, which cost almost more than double, I have not noticed any difference in the water regarding its smell and taste, so I will continue to choose this particular filter.

My previous filter was the antimicrobial one from Eiger. No comparison with this one. I read the reviews and the features and thought I’d give it a try.
