The Electrocompaniet ECI 5 MK II amplifier is a high-performance, fully balanced, DC coupled integrated stereo amplifier with remote control – rated at 2 x 120 Watts.

This amplifier replaces the ECI 4 / ECI 5 originally introduced in 2000. In the new MK II version, Electrocompaniet has used the latest technology to improve detail and dynamics – in many cases, this is an entirely new amplifier.

The new ECI-5 MK II features a more powerful output compared to the existing ECI-5. A double number of outputs have been used for better bass management and stability when driving heavy loads.

To improve power supply, the storage capacitor bank has been increased to 80,000 microfarads, powered by a powerful 500Va transformer. With these energy resources, the ECI-5 is capable of reproducing the most dynamic recordings.

The ECI-5 MK II also features a new and improved overload detection system that allows us to remove the output relay. Thus, the output stage is connected directly to the speaker without a relay control in the signal path that deteriorates over time.

All input switching is managed by high-quality analog switches with almost no distortion and trouble-free lifespan.

The input is made from discrete circuits operating in Class A without feedback. The output stage operates with moderate amounts of negative feedback, carefully balanced between good bass extension and control, mid-frequency detail, and warm, detailed termination.

The new and larger display improves readability from your listening position - the display can be dimmed.

The ECI-5 MK II features the following outputs: balanced, single-ended, and REC. Balanced volume control motor that does not degrade the unit's sonic qualities. The balanced output of the ECI 5 can drive an additional power amplifier in a regulated bi-amplification.
