For the most efficient use, the candle should be burned for at least two to three hours at a time. The candle should melt to the edge of the jar to prevent tunneling around the cotton wick. If using a set of accessories, the shade will protect the flame from drafts and the burn time of the candle will reach the maximum stated on the candle's label. If smoke appears, extinguish the candle, trim the wick to 5mm, remove any debris, and relight the candle.
